So what am I doing up at 2:15am? I have to take my cats Amber Rose and Ebony Diamond to the ASPCA Pet Mobile at Grand Army Plaza in 2.5hrs....I should be sleeping, I kept receiving odd text recommending music downloads and I couldn't get back to sleep.
With that said, I'll add words that matter or matter to most.
It's awesome to live in a neighborhood with such a blend of cultures. I like the combination of retirees who have stories to share from the 30s and 40s including my uncle who remembers when the IRT and IND were built, and the newbies exploring Brooklyn for the first time.
Don't you just love around election time when the street lamp post are bombarded with over-sized posters of politicians who are pimping us for votes? I've written every local politician about a pertinent concern re:11225, only to receive a general response.
How do we maintain the standard of living we enjoy here in 11225?
A neighbor's plant was stolen from our stoop 9/30/09. What's even
worst is that it withstood harsh winters and brutal heat only to fall prey to lazy looters. The irony is, since the new "lamp post" were installed to replace the silver post, we haven't had light for over a month. We've been using our light sensor to light the sidewalk and (3) houses. I still believe in Brooklyn, which is why I'm still here. Many have happily relocated to Warwick, Westbury, and L.A as I'm sure you've known people to uproot too. We don't even have block parties. I think we were the only block in 11225 who didn't.... The idea for creating the townhouses PLG comprises was for neighbors to have a neighborhood, not just a place to live. I'd like to see that revived. What would you suggest?
